Sean Tretta is an American writer, producer and director for film and television. He began writing, directing and producing independent features while a student at Arizona State University.

Tretta has written episodes of *Star Trek: Picard* (2023), *Mayans M.C.* (2018–2021) and *12 Monkeys* (2015–2018), and teleplays for *Hunters* (2016). His earlier credits include writing and directing the horror film *Death of a Ghost Hunter* (2007). He is married to actress Tiffany Shepis.
