## Biography

Serge Korber (1936–2022) was a French film director, screenwriter and actor. He played Maurice, a lyricist, in Agnès Varda's *Cléo from 5 to 7* (1962).

As a director he worked on comedies including *The One Man Band* (1970) and *Perched on a Tree* (1971), both starring Louis de Funès, and the drama *Hearth Fires* (1972). He also directed under the pseudonym John Thomas. Korber wrote the screenplay for *Dog Day* (1984) and contributed to many television films and series.
