Sergio Kato, born Sérgio Luiz Pereira on 15 July 1960 in Além Paraíba, Minas Gerais, Brazil, is a Brazilian-American actor. He began his career in Rio de Janeiro at Teatro O Tablado and gained notice through stage work at Scala Rio. In 1985 he moved to the United States and studied at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.

Kato has appeared in many films and television series, frequently in small or uncredited roles. His credits include *Central Station* (1998) as Dora's Client, as well as parts in *The Shawshank Redemption* (1994), *The Truman Show* (1998), *Lone Survivor* (2013), *Dawn of the Planet of the Apes* (2014), *Terminator Genisys* (2015), *Suicide Squad* (2016) and *Hail, Caesar!* (2016). He has also worked as a model and earlier as a ballet dancer.
