Seth Gilliam is an American actor. He graduated with a BFA in acting from the State University of New York at Purchase in 1990.

Gilliam is known for his television roles as Ellis Carver in *The Wire* (2002–2008), Father Gabriel Stokes in *The Walking Dead* (2014–2022), Dr. Alan Deaton in *Teen Wolf* (2011–2017), and Clayton Hughes in *Oz* (1997–2003).
