Shakira Barrera is an American actress. She was born on 7 March 1990 in Englewood, New Jersey, to Nicaraguan-American parents. She attended Bergen County Academies and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from Rutgers University.

Barrera joined the cast of the Netflix series *GLOW* in its second season, playing Yolanda "Junkchain" Rivas from 2018 to 2019. She has appeared in guest roles on series including *Grey's Anatomy*, *Shameless*, *Lethal Weapon*, *Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.*, *Ahsoka* and *Hacks*. Her film credits include *Superfast!* (2015). The *GLOW* cast received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination.
