## Biography

Shane Brennan is an Australian television writer and producer. He began his career as a journalist with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation before turning to scriptwriting in 1981. His early credits include episodes of Australian series such as *Special Squad*, *The Flying Doctors* and *Stingers*.

Brennan moved to the United States around 2003. He worked as a supervising producer and writer on *CSI: Miami* (2003–2004) and wrote episodes of *The Lost World* (2002). He joined *NCIS* (2003) as a writer and producer in 2006, later becoming executive producer and showrunner after Donald P. Bellisario. He created the spin-off series *NCIS: Los Angeles* (2009), serving as its showrunner until 2016 while remaining an executive producer on the original series until 2015. He also developed *King & Maxwell* (2013).
