Shane McRae is an American actor. Born on 23 July 1977 in Gainesville, Florida, he grew up in Starkville, Mississippi. He earned a BFA from the University of Evansville and an MFA from New York University in 2003.

McRae began his career in theatre, appearing in the Broadway production of *Take Me Out* and in *Richard III* at the Public Theater. On screen he has played Knox in the Apple TV+ series *Silo* (2023–), Taylor Bowman in *Sneaky Pete* (2015–2019), and supporting roles in films including *The Help* (2011) and *Still Alice* (2014). Other television credits include *Chicago Fire*, *The Following*, *Alaska Daily* and *Paradise Lost*.
