## Biography

Shani Am. Moore is a television writer. She began her screenwriting career on the Netflix series *Sweet Magnolias* (2020), where she worked as staff writer and received episode writing credits. Her other produced writing credits include episodes of *The Bold Type* (2017) and *Kingdom Business* (2022).

Before becoming a full-time screenwriter, Moore was the first black female head executive at Dolby and worked as a contracts and production lawyer at NBCUniversal. She is a cum laude graduate of Princeton University, UC Berkeley, Stanford Law School and UCLA Extension. She has received fellowships from the Inevitable Foundation (2021) and NBC’s TV Writers Program (2019).
