Born in Toronto on 2 April 1935, she began her career in Canadian theatre and television before making her film debut recreating a stage role as Christine Callaghan in the 1957 British comedy *Lucky Jim*. Her first American film appearance came in John Boorman’s *Point Blank* (1967), in which she played Lynne opposite Lee Marvin. She appeared in further films including *Don't Let the Angels Fall* (1969) and *Happy Birthday to Me* (1981), but worked predominantly in television. Notable credits include the *Star Trek* episode “The Mark of Gideon” (1969) as Odona and the role of Della Street in the 1973 series *The New Perry Mason*.
