## Biography

Sharon McFarlane is a Canadian actor and acting coach based in Toronto. She trained at the BFA Acting Program at the University of Alberta and holds a diploma from Sheridan College in Performance Arts. Her theatre work has included companies across Canada, among them the Stratford Festival, where she understudied Portia in *The Merchant of Venice* and earned a Guthrie Award.

On screen she is known for the role of Helen Donovan in the 2015 film *Spotlight*, a recurring part as Dr. Carolyn Ray in the series *Saving Hope* (2012–2015), and appearances in *The Girlfriend Experience* (2016), *Mrs. America* (2020) and *Gen V* (2023). She has also worked as a casting director on the 1999 short *Tuba Girl* and teaches on-camera acting at studios in Toronto.
