Sharon Tay is a Singaporean-American actress and former television news anchor and reporter. Born on 15 October 1966 in Singapore, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University.

Tay began her on-screen career in the 1990s with reporter roles in films including *Independence Day* (1996) and *Hurlyburly* (1998). She later appeared as a newscaster or news anchor in *Eagle Eye* (2008), *The Pink Panther 2* (2009), *Fast Five* (2011) and as herself in *Nightcrawler* (2014). She has also had guest roles in television series such as *True Blood*, *NCIS: Los Angeles* and *S.W.A.T.*.
