Shawn Peters is a cinematographer whose credits include *Summer of Soul (...Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)* (2021), for which he shot the contemporary interviews, and *Really Love* (2020). He has worked extensively with director Terence Nance on projects such as *An Oversimplification of Her Beauty* (2012), multiple shorts, and the HBO series *Random Acts of Flyness* (2018–2022).

Peters studied photography and cinematography at the University of South Carolina. After periods working in technology and running a record label, he completed New York University’s Summer Intensive Cinematography Program. His other credits include *Goldie* (2019), *Adam* (2019), *In Our Mothers' Gardens* (2021) and *The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey* (2022).
