Shawn Ries is an American television writer and producer. He began his career in the mid-2000s as a production assistant and animation production assistant on *Family Guy* before advancing to writing roles.

Ries joined the writing staff of *Family Guy* in 2011, serving as staff writer, story editor, executive story editor and co-producer through 2017. He received writing credits on 27 episodes, often in collaboration with Artie Johann, including 'Cool Hand Peter' (2011), 'Turban Cowboy' (2013), 'Chap Stewie' (2014) and '#JOLO' (2015).
