## Biography

Shaye Ogbonna is a writer and producer. He is an alumnus of the American Film Institute, graduating in the class of 2011.

His credits include writing the episode 'Homecoming' of the HBO series *The Penguin* (2024), on which he also served as co-producer. He co-wrote the feature *God's Country* (2022) with Julian Higgins and wrote *Lowlife* (2017). Ogbonna created, wrote and served as showrunner and executive producer on the Peacock limited series *Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist* (2024). He has also written episodes of *The Chi* (2022).

In 2025 he won a Writers Guild of America Award for his work on *The Penguin*.
