Shinnosuke Ikehata, also known by the stage name Peter, is a Japanese singer, dancer and actor. Born on 8 August 1952 in Osaka, he is the son of Yuuki Yoshimura, a Living National Treasure and head of the Yoshimura-ryu school of Kamigata dance. He began performing on stage as a child and made his film debut in 1969 as Eddie in Toshio Matsumoto's *Funeral Parade of Roses*.

Ikehata achieved early success as a singer under the name Peter, winning the Best New Artist award at the 11th Japan Record Awards for his debut single. He has appeared in numerous films and television productions, including the role of Kyoami in Akira Kurosawa's *Ran* (1985) and the voice of Rem in *Death Note: The Last Name* (2006). He has continued to work in film, television and stage into the 2020s, including a role in the NHK asadora *Omusubi* (2024).
