## Biography

Shōgo Tomiyama is a Japanese film producer. He joined Toho in 1975 and worked in the publicity department before becoming a producer at Toho Pictures in 1983. He first contributed to the Godzilla series as producer on *Godzilla vs. Biollante* (1989), assisting executive producer Tomoyuki Tanaka, and held the same role on *Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah* (1991), *Godzilla vs. Mothra* (1992) and *Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II* (1993).

Following Tanaka’s death in 1997, Tomiyama served as executive producer on the six Millennium-era Godzilla films from *Godzilla 2000: Millennium* (1999) to *Godzilla: Final Wars* (2004). He was president of Toho Pictures from 2004 to 2010.
