## Biography

Sibel Kekilli is a German actress. She was born on 16 June 1980 in Heilbronn, Germany, to Turkish immigrant parents.

Kekilli was discovered by a casting director in 2002 and made her film debut as Sibel Güner in Fatih Akın’s *Head-On* (2004). She won the German Film Award (Lola) for Best Actress for the role. She received a second Lola for her performance in *When We Leave* (2010).

From 2011 she played Shae in the HBO series *Game of Thrones*. Other credits include *When We Leave*, *What a Man* (2011) and *Berlin, I Love You* (2019).
