## Biography

Sidney Glazier was an American film producer. Born in Philadelphia on 29 May 1916, he produced the documentary feature *The Eleanor Roosevelt Story* (1965), which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

Glazier is best known for producing Mel Brooks’s *The Producers* (1968). He also served as executive producer on Woody Allen’s *Take the Money and Run* (1969) and Brooks’s *The Twelve Chairs* (1970). He died in Bennington, Vermont, on 14 December 2002.
