Sigmund Krumgold was an American composer and musical director. Born on 1 July 1896 in Hartford, Connecticut, he began his career as a theatre pipe organist, recording accompaniments for the Victor label between 1927 and 1929.

He worked mainly at Paramount Pictures, serving as musical director on several Preston Sturges films of the early 1940s, including *The Lady Eve* (1941), *Sullivan's Travels* (1941), *The Miracle of Morgan's Creek* (1943) and *Hail the Conquering Hero* (1944). He received an on-screen composer credit for *Union Pacific* (1939) and contributed uncredited music to other productions of the period. Krumgold died on 11 April 1981 in Dade County, Florida.
