## Biography

Sigurjón Kjartansson is an Icelandic writer, producer, comedian and actor. He served as showrunner and writer on the crime series *Trapped* (2015–2021) and co-created the series *Katla* (2021).

Born in Reykjavík on 20 September 1968, he began in comedy as one half of the radio duo Tvíhöfði with Jón Gnarr and as a member of the metal band HAM. He has appeared in several Icelandic films and television productions, including the role of Mörður in *Virgin Mountain* (2015).

Kjartansson has written and produced multiple drama series and directed his first feature film, *Grand Finale* (2024).
