Silvia Richards was an American screenwriter. Born Silvia Hope Goodenough in Indianola, Iowa, she attended high school in Colorado Springs, Colorado, before moving to Hollywood to pursue a career in screenwriting.

Her film credits include the screenplay for *Secret Beyond the Door* (1947), the screenplay for *Possessed* (1947), the original story for *Rancho Notorious* (1952) and the screenplay for *Ruby Gentry* (1952). She also wrote for television series in the 1950s and early 1960s.

Richards was married to screenwriter Robert L. Richards and later to screenwriter A. I. Bezzerides. She testified as a friendly witness before HUAC during the McCarthy era.
