## Biography

Simon Duggan is a New Zealand-Australian cinematographer. Born on 13 May 1959 in Wellington, New Zealand, he began his career in Australia at Ross Wood Film Studios. His first feature was *The Interview* (1998).

Duggan has worked as director of photography on *The Great Gatsby* (2013) and *Hacksaw Ridge* (2016), for both of which he won the AACTA Award for Best Cinematography. Other credits include *I, Robot* (2004), *Warcraft* (2016) and *Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga* (2024). He has collaborated with directors including Baz Luhrmann, Alex Proyas, Mel Gibson and George Miller.

Duggan joined the Australian Cinematographers Society in 1989 and the American Society of Cinematographers in 2022.
