Simon Lazarus was a theatre operator who provided initial funding for the Independent Productions Corporation, formed in 1951 by blacklisted Hollywood professionals.

He is credited as co-producer on the 1954 film *Salt of the Earth*. He later worked as a production associate on *Johnny Got His Gun* (1971).
