Simon McCleave is a British television and film writer. After university he worked in television and film development, serving as a script editor at the BBC and a producer at Channel 4, and later as a story analyst in Los Angeles.

He wrote episodes for series including *Teachers* (2001), *Silent Witness*, *Murder in Suburbia*, *Attachments*, *The Bill* and *EastEnders*. He is also credited as script editor on the 1995 film *I.D.*. His Channel 4 film *Out of the Game* received critical attention.
