So Yong Kim (김소영) is a Korean-American film and television director. Born in 1968 in Busan, South Korea, she is known for her independent feature films *In Between Days* (2006), *Treeless Mountain* (2008), *For Ellen* (2012) and *Lovesong* (2016). Her debut feature received a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.

Kim has directed episodes of numerous television series, including *Queen Sugar* (2016), *Transparent* (2016), *Halt and Catch Fire* (2017), *The Good Fight* (2017), *Tales from the Loop* (2020) and *Dr. Death* (2021). She is married to filmmaker Bradley Rust Gray.
