Sonal Jha is an Indian actress. She was born on 29 July 1971 in Patna, Bihar, and trained at Delhi University, where she obtained a master's degree in history, and at Ithaca College.

Jha began her career in theatre in Patna and later appeared in Indian television serials including *Balika Vadhu*, *Na Aana Is Des Laado* and *Sapno Ke Bhanwer Main*. Her film roles include Leela's mother in *Lipstick Under My Burkha* (2017), Shanti Bua in *Aarakshan* (2011) and Shraddha's mother in *12th Fail* (2023). She is cast as Sumitra in the forthcoming film *Ramayana* (2026).
