## Biography

Sophie Owens-Bender is a writer and former actress. She has contributed to several television series, including writing episodes of *Mr. Mercedes* (2017–2018), where she also served as staff writer and story editor, and *From* (2022–), for which she wrote one episode.

She worked as teleplay writer and executive story editor on *The Institute* (2025). Owens-Bender is the daughter of director Jack Bender. As a child, she appeared in the film *Child's Play 3* (1991) and had an uncredited role in the series *Lost* (2006).
