Stanley Price (12 August 1931 – 28 February 2019) was a British novelist, playwright and screenwriter. Born in Stamford Hill, Hackney, London, he completed National Service in the Army before reading history at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. He began his career as a journalist, working as a reporter for Life magazine in New York from 1957 to 1960, before returning to London to contribute to newspapers and magazines.
