Star Jones is an American actress, television personality, lawyer and producer. Born Starlet Marie Jones on 24 March 1962 in Badin, North Carolina, she began her career as a prosecutor before moving into broadcasting.

She is best known as a co-host of the ABC daytime talk show *The View* from 1997 to 2006. Jones has appeared as herself in episodes of series including *Sports Night* (1998), *Spin City* (2000) and *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (1999), and played Holly Davis in the 2006 film *Relative Strangers*.
