## Biography

Stefan Dechant is a production designer and former art director and illustrator. He began his career in the art department, working as a storyboard artist, production illustrator and concept artist on films including *Forrest Gump* (1994), *The Lost World: Jurassic Park* (1997), *Minority Report* (2002) and *Avatar* (2009), where he served as supervising art director.

Dechant transitioned to production design in the late 2010s. His credits in the role include *Welcome to Marwen* (2018), *Pacific Rim: Uprising* (2018), *The Call of the Wild* (2020), *The Tragedy of Macbeth* (2021), *Pinocchio* (2022), *Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire* (2023) and *Dead Man's Wire* (2026). He received an Academy Award nomination for his work on *The Tragedy of Macbeth*.
