Stefano Rulli is an Italian screenwriter born in Rome on 3 October 1949. He has frequently collaborated with Sandro Petraglia on screenplays for films and television series.

His credits include *The Best of Youth* (2003), *Romanzo Criminale* (2005), *My Brother Is an Only Child* (2007), *Suburra* (2015) and two episodes of the series *The Young Pope* (2016). He has also directed documentaries, including *Un silenzio particolare* (2004).

Rulli was married to the writer Clara Sereni until her death in 2018; they had one son.
