## Biography

Stéphane Freiss is a French actor who has worked in film, television and theatre. He trained at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique, graduating in 1985, and became a pensionnaire at the Comédie-Française.

Freiss made his screen debut in the early 1980s. He appeared as Jean-Pierre in Agnès Varda's *Vagabond* (1985) and received the César Award for Most Promising Actor for his role in *Chouans!* (1988). His other credits include *5×2* (2004), *Munich* (2005), *Welcome to the Sticks* (2008), *Hereafter* (2010) and *My Old Lady* (2014).
