## Biography

Stephen A. Rotter is a film editor. He won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for *The Right Stuff* (1983), shared with Glenn Farr, Lisa Fruchtman, Tom Rolf and Douglas Stewart. He also shared an Emmy Award for the miniseries *Holocaust* (1978).

Rotter has edited more than thirty films. His credits include *Night Moves* (1975), *The Missouri Breaks* (1976), *The World According to Garp* (1982), *Dirty Rotten Scoundrels* (1988), *The Parent Trap* (1998), *What Women Want* (2000), *America's Sweethearts* (2001), *Enchanted* (2007) and *A Little Bit of Heaven* (2011). He began his career as an assistant editor in the late 1960s and has been active since 1969.
