## Biography

Stephen Belber is an American playwright, screenwriter and film director. His plays have been produced on Broadway and in numerous countries. He wrote for the television series *Rescue Me* (2004) and *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (2002–2003).

Belber wrote the screenplay for the film *Tape* (2001) and the HBO film *The Laramie Project* (2002), for which he received an Emmy nomination. He wrote and directed the features *Management* (2009) and *Match* (2014). He created the Netflix series *The Madness* (2024).
