Stephen Crawford is a cinematographer and lighting technician whose credits include work on the television series *NYPD Blue*. He served as chief lighting technician on 76 episodes from 1993, credited as Steve Crawford, and later as director of photography on 81 episodes between 1996 and 2004.

Crawford worked his way up through the camera and electrical departments on numerous film and television productions. In 1996 he transitioned to director of photography, shooting *NYPD Blue* for eight years. Subsequent credits include director of photography on the feature film *Big Bad Wolf* (2006) and insert unit work on *CSI: NY*, as well as various shorts, reality series and commercials.
