Stephen Maier is a cinematographer, also credited as Steve Maier. He has worked as a camera operator and first assistant camera on numerous feature films, including *Deadpool* (2016), *Rise of the Planet of the Apes* (2011), *2012* (2009), *X-Men Origins: Wolverine* (2009), *Elysium* (2013), *Warcraft* (2016), *Star Trek Beyond* (2016), *Everything, Everything* (2017) and *Alpha* (2018).

Maier has served as director of photography on television series including *Chilling Adventures of Sabrina* (2018–2020), *Superman & Lois* (2021–2023) and *Stick* (2025). He is a member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers and has received Leo Award nominations for best cinematography in a dramatic series for his work on *Superman & Lois* and *Chilling Adventures of Sabrina*. He has also directed an episode of *Superman & Lois*.
