## Biography

Stephen Moore (11 December 1937 – 4 October 2019) was an English actor. He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and began his career on stage in the late 1950s, appearing with the Old Vic and later at the Royal National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company.

On television, he played Jack in the series *Rock Follies* (1976) and Iain Stewart in *Foyle's War* (2002). He voiced Marvin the Paranoid Android in the 1981 television adaptation of *The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy* and appeared in films including *A Bridge Too Far* (1977) and *The Boat That Rocked* (2009). His stage roles included Colonel Pickering in the National Theatre production of *My Fair Lady*.
