Steve Kahan (also credited as Stephen Kahan) was an American character actor. He was born in New York City on 6 August 1939 and died on 4 August 2019.

He appeared in fourteen films directed by his cousin Richard Donner. His first feature film role was in *Superman* (1978). He is best known for playing Captain Ed Murphy in the four *Lethal Weapon* films (1987–1998). Other credits include *Predator 2* (1990) as a sergeant, *Demolition Man* (1993), *Maverick* (1994) and *16 Blocks* (2006). His final screen role was in 2006.
