## Biography

Steve Schwartz is a film producer and president of Chockstone Pictures, which he co-founded with his wife Paula Mae Schwartz.

His producing credits include *The Road* (2009), *The Tree of Life* (2011, co-executive producer), *Killing Them Softly* (2012), *The Host* (2013), *The Counselor* (2013), *Serena* (2014), *All the Old Knives* (2022) and *Anniversary* (2025). He has also produced theatre, including the 2015 Deaf West Theatre revival of *Spring Awakening*.

Schwartz holds an MFA from Columbia University’s School of the Arts and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Bowdoin College. Before entering film, he worked as a speechwriter for Jack Welch at GE and co-founded the technology public relations firm Schwartz Communications in 1990.
