## Biography

Steve Trafford is a British television writer and playwright. He contributed episodes to *Between the Lines* (1992), which earned him a Writers’ Guild Award, and to *Midsomer Murders* (2005–2012). Other television credits include regular work on *The Bill*, as well as episodes of *Wycliffe* (1994–1996), *Heartbeat* (1994), *The Knock* (1994), *Rockface* (2002) and *Emmerdale*.

He has also written for the stage, including a translation of *Ay Carmela* (2006) and adaptations such as *Hymn to Love* for BBC Radio 3 and *Marie* for BBC Radio 4. His first television script was the 1987 Channel 4 film *T. Dan Smith*.
