## Biography

Steven Melching is an American television and film writer, also credited as Buzz Alden. He attended the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television and began his professional career in 1993 writing for the X-Men animated series.

Melching wrote the screenplay for the 2008 animated film *Star Wars: The Clone Wars* and contributed multiple episodes to the accompanying television series, as well as to *Star Wars Rebels* and *Star Wars Resistance*. His other credits include episodes of *The Batman*, *Batman: The Brave and the Bold*, *Transformers: Prime*, *X-Men*, *Jackie Chan Adventures* and *Power Rangers*. He is an Emmy-nominated and Writers Guild of America-nominated writer.

He created the internet parody short *TROOPS* and has written dialogue for Star Wars video games and issues of the Dark Horse *Star Wars: The Clone Wars* comic series. He has also served as a story editor and producer on several animated projects.
