Stuart Heisler (1896–1979) was an American film and television director and editor. He began his career as a prop man and worked as a motion picture editor from 1921 to 1936, with credits including *Peter Ibbetson* (1935).

He directed his first feature in 1936 and later helmed films such as *The Glass Key* (1942), *Storm Warning* (1951) and *The Star* (1952). He also directed episodes of the television series *Gunsmoke* (1955) and *Rawhide* (1959).

Heisler directed the 1944 propaganda film *The Negro Soldier*. He received an Academy Award nomination in 1949 for his contribution to the visual effects of *Tulsa*.
