## Biography

Sudz Sutherland is a Canadian film and television director and screenwriter, also credited as David Sutherland or David "Sudz" Sutherland. He has directed episodes of series including *All American* (2018), *Superman & Lois* (2021), *The Flash* (2014), *Supergirl* (2015), *Batwoman* (2019) and *Designated Survivor* (2016).

His feature films include *Love, Sex and Eating the Bones* (2003), for which he received Genie Award nominations, *Doomstown* (2006) and *Home Again* (2012). He has won multiple Gemini Awards and Canadian Screen Awards for direction, and an International Emmy for the television film *The Phantoms*. Sutherland studied film at York University and frequently collaborates with his wife, producer and screenwriter Jennifer Holness, through their company Hungry Eyes Media.
