Born on 7 October 1958 in Luxembourg, she is the daughter of Austrian conductor Carl Melles and Hungarian actress Judith von Rohonczy. She trained at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich. Melles is known for roles including Vera in *Triangle of Sadness* (2022), Frau Buddenberg in *The Baader Meinhof Complex* (2008), and appearances in *Inspector Rex* (1994) and *The Awakening of Motti Wolkenbruch* (2018). Since 1993 she has been married to Prince Peter of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn.
