## Biography

Susan Anton is an American actress and singer. Born on 12 October 1950 in Yucaipa, California, she attended Yucaipa High School and San Bernardino Valley College. She first gained attention as Miss California 1969 and second runner-up in the Miss America pageant that year.

Anton made her film debut in *Goldengirl* (1979), earning a Golden Globe nomination for best new female star. She appeared as Jill in *Cannonball Run II* (1984) and had roles in films including *Spring Fever* (1982) and *Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens* (2016). On television she guest-starred in series such as *Murder, She Wrote*, *Night Court*, *Quantum Leap*, *The Larry Sanders Show*, *Baywatch* and *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit*.

Her stage credits include Broadway productions of *Hurlyburly* and *The Will Rogers Follies*, the national tour of *All Shook Up*, and the Las Vegas production of *Hairspray*. She has also recorded music, with a top-ten country hit duet "Killin' Time" in 1980, and hosted variety programmes including *Presenting Susan Anton*.
