## Biography

Susan Coyne is a Canadian actor and writer. Born in Ottawa on 16 June 1958, she attended Queen’s University and trained at the National Theatre School of Canada, graduating in 1984.

A founding member of the Soulpepper Theatre Company, she co-created and starred in the television series *Slings & Arrows* (2003–2006). She has written for *Daisy Jones & the Six* (2023), *Mozart in the Jungle* (2016–2018) and *The Man Who Invented Christmas* (2017), and has acted in films including *Blindness* (2008) and *French Exit* (2021). She received Gemini Awards for acting and writing on *Slings & Arrows* and was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada in 2017.
