Susan Lynch is a Northern Irish actress. Born in 1971 in Corrinshego, County Armagh, she trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Her elder brother is the actor John Lynch.

She is known for film roles including Maggie O'Toole in *Waking Ned* (1998), the title role in *Nora* (2000), Liz Stride in *From Hell* (2001) and a leading part in *16 Years of Alcohol* (2003). Television credits include Maria Orton in the series *Bodies* (2004), Alison Garrs in *Happy Valley* (2014) and Tara Gibbs in *Sex Education* (2019).

Lynch has won three Irish Film and Television Academy Awards, including Best Leading Actress for *Nora*. She also received the British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for *16 Years of Alcohol*. In 2020 she was placed at number 42 on The Irish Times list of Ireland's greatest film actors.
