## Biography

Susan Soon He Stanton is an American playwright, television writer and screenwriter. She is from Aiea, Hawaii, and of Korean and Chinese descent. She holds a BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA from Yale School of Drama.

Stanton worked as a writer and producer across all four seasons of the HBO series *Succession* (2018–2023). Her other television writing credits include episodes of *Conversations with Friends* (2022), *Modern Love* (2019), *The Baby* (2022) and *Dead Ringers* (2023). She has also written several plays that have been produced regionally in the United States and internationally.

For her work on *Succession*, Stanton received Primetime Emmy, Writers Guild of America and Peabody Awards. She is a two-time Sundance Institute Theater Lab Resident Playwright and has received fellowships including the Venturous Playwrights Fellowship and the Lark’s Van Lier Fellowship.
