## Biography

Susan Wilkins is a British television writer and novelist. She studied law and worked as a researcher on documentary series before entering scripted drama. Her first major credit was writing for the BBC series *Casualty* in 1986.

Over a 25-year career she amassed more than 130 broadcast credits, writing for series including *Heartbeat*, *Coronation Street*, *EastEnders*, *Holby City* and *Footballers’ Wives*. She created the BBC detective drama *South of the Border*, which ran for two series. A health crisis led her to retire from television and begin writing crime novels; her debut, *The Informant*, was published in 2014.
