## Biography

Susie Conklin is a British screenwriter and television producer. She began her career in script editing and continuity, working on series including *Pride and Prejudice* (1995), *State of Play* (2003), *Supervolcano* (2005) and *Middlemarch* (1994).

She co-created the BBC series *Cranford* (2007–2009) with Sue Birtwistle, also serving as script executive. Conklin has written episodes of *The Musketeers* (2014–2015) and *A Discovery of Witches* (2021), and acted as lead writer and executive producer on series 2 of *Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale* (2025). She has contributed teleplays to projects such as *A Gentleman in Moscow* (2024).

Conklin has co-authored books on television adaptations, including *The Making of Pride and Prejudice* (1995) and *The Making of Jane Austen's Emma* (1996).
